There is a big reason why I don’t get stocks in venture based companies, mostly because they are great money pits with the long-shot promises of untold wealth. They don’t actually produce anything, they make money by getting money from others, spending it on other companies and hoping for a return… which, even if there is none, still manage to turn a profit which just doesn’t amount to much in my opinion. I am trying to get very large returns in a short period of time, long small returns over a long period of time.

If you decide to go into venture based companies, do it when they are very young and full of speculation or marketing buzz, that is when you will make double or triple returns on your investments. The instant they start to stabilize, get out and invest your money elsewhere.

Buying some CRU

I had 250$ left in my portfolio to make some purchases before I need to sell some stock once Obama comes into office, so I decided to buy 2 500 shares of Crew Gold Corporation (CRU.TO) at 8 cents a share, it may be a long shot but I don’t mind gambling when the odds seem in my favor based on the extensive research I do before any buying opportunity presents itself to me.

CRU is an international mining company with 3 prospective sites, like StrataGold Corporation which, last week, went nuts then did nothing after a huge find which still mystifies me to this day.

Things so far

I now have 45 companies in my portfolio and am getting anxious to solidify some very good gains some of them have done once the inauguration is finished. I figure there will be 4-6 stocks that will be ripe by then and sold to finally get over the 30K hump from my initial 15K investment about two months ago.

Future Goals

My goal now is to own around 75 companies so every week, 4-5 can be sold at a hefty profit while the others slowly regain the stream they lost due to the recession and economic crisis that has been occurring over the past few years.

Like I wrote earlier, this is THE TIME to profit in the stock market!
