Doing a Stock Garage Sale
On Friday, I sold 10 companies that I have had for a while in my portfolio that weren’t doing much of anything, I lost about 20% on 8 of them and made 20% on two others but overall, it’s good to clean-house every once in a while. There were stocks that I have held onto for the past 4 months and looking back, I shouldn’t have bought in the first place. The amount I cashed out on was 5 800$ which I am sure I can make some very good returns on in the coming weeks.
The 10 company that i no longer own are AMB, CSA, EG, HWO, IQW, OIL, PLI, PSR, WEF, ZL. I have since changed my picking system by looking at high volume yet very strong balance sheet companies. I believe they have a better chance of weathering the economic crisis.
